Adapting to changing times
We have been in the shipping industry as ship owners and operators for many years. The flow of time is both fast and slow. The shipping industry has remained largely unchanged for the last 30 years. However, the situation surrounding shipping is now about to enter a period of major changes in cargo transport, environmental awareness, population composition, and logistics costs. We have kept in step with this shift, believing that to “stand still is the same as stopping”. Particularly in the last five years, we have increased the number of vessels we own and have put a structure in place that enables us to respond to the changing shipping industry. Now is the time to think about ships for a new era. While carefully managing existing vessels, we create new vessels that can respond to changes, forming two wheels as we move towards the future.
CEO Sachihiko Watanabe
Born 19th of September 1954. Graduated from Goko High School in 1973. Graduated from Komazawa University Faculty of Law in 1977 and joined Shinsei Marine Ltd. the same year. In 1997, took over evahline inc., changing its name and becoming its CEO. In 2013, became the CEO of Shinsei Marine Ltd. In 2018, established GREAT SOMETHING CO., LTD as a wholly-owned overseas subsidiary of evahline inc.

We want to share the dynamism of shipping
I joined evahline more than a decade ago. Although the shipping industry is known for its lack of change, it is now experiencing a period of major progression.
It is a simple job, transporting and delivering cargo, but there are many people involved: those who board the ship, those who build it, those who maintain it, those who manage it and those who finance it. Many interesting hidden aspects of these jobs allow you to experience a sense of scale unique to the sea.
Beyond the safe operation of ships and careful transportation of cargo, there is a business only we can do because we can navigate the oceans of Japan and the world. evahline wants to anticipate the future and move forward with those who will support the shipping industry in the coming years.
Director Kazuhiro Watanabe
Born 22nd August 1985. Graduated from Hiro High School in 2004. Graduated from Chuo University Faculty of Commerce in 2009 and joined Sumitoronics Corporation in the same year. Joined Shinsei Marine Ltd. and evahline inc. in 2012. Established WAT inc. in 2014 and became CEO. In 2023, opened “Sambashiya” in Kure City, Hiroshima.
